"Beach Cabana"
These abstracts are inspired by memories of summer days visiting our family’s favorite beach destination.
Small seaweed bunches wash ashore alongside beautiful bits of treasure, whole and broken sea shells, small driftwood pieces, an occasional sand dollar or jellyfish, all seeking the protection of the water. We gather only a few shells and the sweet memories of these days.
I wanted to bring in some of the beach into my art. I have incorporated sand into these “sea petal” abstracts. I love the texture and richness to the colors it adds.
